I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Backcountry in May 2013
Interview
You would put your application in online (only accepts online) and then get a call from their Human Resources who will give you a small pre-interview. Then if it goes well the call you in for an interview with the manager. They just ask you the same questions as most do. Why do you wanna work here? What are your skills? Hobbies? Etc. Then usually they hire or deny you right there. During the first call from HR sometimes they'll tell you if you're denied the job there too.

Question 1
What are you passionate about. This question mainly because people want to lie and say what they want you to think. But i was honest and it worked in my favor.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Backcountry (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2018
Interview
The interview was very easy and took about 10 minutes. Very chill. Was clear in interview that there is high turnover and they need people who can show up, do the work, and accept the fact the work is lame/boring. People basically do the job for the discounts.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Backcountry (Christiansburg, VA)
Interview
Very easy to get hired here, show up 10 minutes early, dress like you spend time outdoors, smile and act excited to learn. They will give you a tour of the building; act interested. Be calm. They are nice when interviewing you.

first i got a phone describing the job position and what it entails. THen they want to find out about you and whether or not you are physically able to do the job, and if doing seasonal, then able to work through holidays and put in extra time when needed. After that they have you come in for a one on one interview and ask more or less the same questions with a few typical interview questions.
