I was refereed to a B&W interview through Workforce1 and went to the interview 2 days later. I brought a paper application (which included a page for three references) to the interview. I did a group interview with 3 other people. The hiring manager at this specific store was very nice and explained what B&BW was and what kind of people and positions they were looking for. She asked us to describe our selves, why we loved and wanted to work at B&BW, to describe a time we were in a successful team, and what would be included in a 30 second commercial about ourselves (what genre of music, what color font and background, etc). She gave us each a slip of paper and played four 30 second customer and B&B worker interaction videos. We were told what we would've done the same and/or different in each situation. It was extremely easy, one video showed a customer walking into a store and asking for a specific fragrance and the employee nicely told her she apologized and that they're were no more in the store. The customer then said "Thank, I'll just check XYZ store". You would just say something like "I would've recommended similar fragrances to the woman to see if she liked them instead of letting her leave so fast". It was a very smooth interview, maybe only because this hiring manager was SO nice. She didn't ask us to display how we would sell a product but I would still prepare for that, and also rehearse questions and answers with myself and other just in case the manager at your store isn't so nice and friendly. Overall, just take 20-30 minutes to PRACTICE your answers so you aren't pausing and being overshadowed by others in the group interview. They really just want to see your personality so be perky, look them in the eye, and SPEAK loud, enthusiastically and clearly, and smile and laugh, smile and laugh, smile and laugh. They also really check references so make sure the numbers you post are accurate and the people can put in a good word for you. It can be teacher, coaches, former employees, just someone that can help you out. The paper application asked for three but I put two and was still hired. But still aim for three and relax and don't be nervous. Just practice in the days leading up to it and do the best to make you're personality shine because that's what they're looking for. They said they would call me back in a week if I was hired but didn't call me back until 13 days later, 1 day before TWO week. So don't get too nervous if they haven't called you back in the time they said, but if you desperately want the job, CALL BACK and remind them that you're still passionately interested and for an update on your status. Good luck everyone!
