The process began with an initial interview, with a panel of 4+ people (more people who were not on the calendar invite) where I was told they were interested in making an offer but needed to “open more roles” before they could move forward. The salary range was never clearly provided (they don’t give out ranges for roles that are in-person, apparently only for hybrid roles they will provide range) — I was only told the lowest possible rate (~$20/hour). After waiting for updates, I was then required to complete a one-way recorded video interview, only to be informed shortly after that the position had already been filled.
Overall, the process felt disorganized, inconsistent, and misleading. Communication was poor, timelines were unclear, and the extra steps added no value. It left me with the impression that the organization doesn’t respect candidates’ time or provide transparency in hiring.
