I went through five interviews with six Baylor Scott & White Health employees, three of which were in hospital leadership. After all of the interviews, a week later they sent a link for me to enter my references. When I was not offered the role, I reached out to HR about the process, especially to ask why ask for references if I'm not the final candidate. She said it was part of their process. That's terrible and plays with a candidate's emotions, while also wasting their references' time.
