I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bazaarvoice (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Aug 2020
Interview
Was initially contacted by the site recruiter about the role, she was friendly and enthusiastic. Had heard good things about the company in the past, despite the reputation of brain drain in the last year, so went for it.
A two hour interview was arranged for the following week, one our "competency"/chat and an hour technical.
Competency interview was with two senior managers, one of which is the new Belfast site lead. Felt like both were just wanting to rattle through the questions, there wasn't much engagement and I felt like the site lead could have cared less. Pretty stark difference to the enthusiasm and warmth of the recruiter, but sure.
Technical interview was fine, discussed current role/experience etc. Although nicer interviewers the whole thing felt like they were reading from the script, minimal dialogue. Technical part was about 15 minutes for a "coding challenge". All in all, came out of the interview feeling meh. Went from wanting to work there to not.
This part is the reason I'm taking to write a review on Glassdoor. Didn't overly expect to get an offer based on lackluster interview, but expected SOME follow up. Week past: nothing. Two: nothing. Month: nothing. Two months: nada. Then I heard this had happened to multiple other people. No answer, no feedback. For a company that's apparently engaging in a "hiring surge", even a polite "Sorry, not this time" is better than total ghosting. I'm sure the company was once a great place to work at, but if the interviewing process is any indication of how the place runs: stay away.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your process and I am sorry it was an overall negative experience after what sounded like a very positive early start which was good to hear. To your point we have been hiring a lot in Belfast and across other regions and we are working hard to give every candidate a great experience including communication loops and follow up. Here something was missed so again I offer you my apologies but know that it is something we are working on as a team.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bazaarvoice in Oct 2025
Interview
I had an unprofessional experience with Bazaarvoice’s recruiter. After expressing interest in my profile, the HR mentioned they would schedule the interview but never followed up. Despite multiple polite reminders and calls, there was no response or update. Being ignored without any communication reflects a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. I hope the company improves its hiring communication and professionalism in the future.
