      I interviewed at BetterUp

      Interview

First stage was a 1:1 phone interview with a recruiter. It started ten minutes late and was rushed. The recruiter had back-to-back interviews all day and was trying to type every word. I was asked to summarize my sales experience in 15 minutes and I was often asked to repeat my answers so that the recruiter could type out my answers . We needed up agreeing to finish the phone interview via email so she had my answers typed out to send back to corporate. The second interview came quickly. I was instructed to complete a project that showcased my ability in prospecting and my discovery process in full detail. I was notified by a generic email 10 days later that I was not chosen. What I didn't like was the rushed process. I understand the team was moving to finding a candidate ASAP. Being that is so, I feel if you enhance the interview process with a take home project, then the company should take time to learn of the candidate is right for the next step. The overall experience had little to none communication. I followed up on the process multiple times, but a generic, no-reply email at the end was not okay. I appreciated the take home project and figured I'd be meeting the team before confirming my employment, but was meet with zero communication.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. It is not our best practice to share automated updates and to not be highly communicative throughout the process, especially when our candidates have given us their time and energy to interview with us. We are so sorry you had that experience! We appreciate you calling this out as we continue to work on delivering the best candidate experience to everyone regardless of the outcome.
