I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
First round campus interview with a PAG director. The interview questions were mostly behavioral and random. Some market related and some specifically about company/PAG. The interviewer emphasized the importance of tech skills and previous internship experience. Used lots of business lingo. He had too high expectations from a college student with no experience. I felt intimidated.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Jun 2026
Interview
The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
