Interview
Spoke with 7 people, and none were the hiring manager yet - there were more interviews to come. However, after speaking with a mid-level-manager who would have been a peer, I went with another company I was in process with. Candidates need to remember we are interviewing Block as well. This interviewer was cold and arrogant, and talked about how often she failed, and that the culture was chaos. I cannot imagine working with her. My advice would be to have hiring managers do their jobs and interview first, instead of sending in mid-level peers who are not trained on interviewing and the purpose of an interview (it felt like her purpose was to turn everyone away) or have something to prove about their level of power.

Question 1
The worst interviewer asked ALL negative questions, which as a candidate should be a red flag: mistakes you've made, disagreements you had, regrets on decision, how long you fail for, etc. It really gives candidates a poor (or scary realistic) view of the culture at Block, and if hired what toxic culture you may be stepping into.
The recruiter called on a Friday afternoon and asked to set up a phone call. Unfortunately I missed the call. I Called her back only a few hours later several times and she ghosted me. Really disappointing.
