Interview
30 minute technical screen with the hiring manager, 30 minute screening call with a recruiter, then a panel interview with five members - four from the M&P team, and one from an adjacent department as a bar raiser. Two younger team members, two managers, and one director. They ask you to prepare and present a 45-60 minute presentation about your career then have one-on-one discussions with each panelist, 30 minutes each.
I thought the interview questions were fair and reasonable and got along well with the panelists. No overly tricky questions, only one member seemed like they were trying to trip me up. Overall, seemed like a good group of people who take candidate selection seriously.
I found the recruiter and recruiting department to be rude, dismissive, slow to respond, and generally lacking in professionalism. I had to follow up with them several times to keep the process moving forward. In the end, the offer they made me did not match what we had discussed during the initial screening by a large margin and so I declined. I have seen a lot of stories on glassdoor and other online spaces that match my experience, and I think Blue would do well to reconsider the standards for their recruiters.
