I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Blue Raven Solar (New York, NY) in May 2021
Interview
The initial phone interview was great and very informative. I was quickly scheduled for an in person interview the next day at the local office. I showed up about 20 mins early and walked in so that I could be "checked in" if needed. The girl sitting at the desk as you walk in would not even look up at me. No hello, how are you doing, nothing. The person interviewing me came out and looked like he was about 17. He definitely had the spill down pat because it sounded like a pure sales pitch. Most of his vocabulary consisted of.." so, yeah, umm, like, so". If I asked him a question he didn't have the script for, no matter how simple the question, he just fidgeted around and got back onto a sales pitch. Is this the best Blue Raven can do? How am I supposed to feel good about someone that will be in a leadership position above me, that can barely spell his name. Needless to say, I was not interested in proceeding further.

Interview
Easy and straightforward. Simple questions and kind interviewer. Excited for this opportunity. Seems to be entirely based on your own performance because there is no hourly rate. Washington apparently is great for solar because homes require more solar due to the overcast weather.

It was very straightforward and fast and I am very satisfied with how efficient and well run it was and how nice the people were. If the rest of the company is similar then I look forward to working here
