I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group in Nov 2007
Interview
First round was two 45-minute interviews. Both interviews were 90% cases and the rest chitchat. Both cases were pretty quantitative. The interviewers were fairly junior (1-2 years tenure). I heard back 2-3 days later.
Final round was a 20-minute fit interview (why did you choose consulting, etc.) and two 45-minute case interviews. The fit interview was with a manager (~4 years tenure), and the cases were with very senior VPs. Again, both cases had a quantitative focus, though they were a little more free-flowing (no exhibits, for example, but a lot of estimation). I heard back about 3 days later.
Everyone at BCG was friendly; I left with a very positive impression of the people and the culture.

Question 1
The case was about working with a nonprofit client, and estimating how much one of their initiatives would cost. I made an estimating error at one point (lost a zero), but I quickly caught it and it didn't hurt me.
Entrevista de caso con consultores y posteriormente con socios en español e inglés. De diferentes áreas, se valoraba tanto el apartado numérico como el analítico. Sobretodo en la de los consultores

HR interview walk through expreriences and discussion role and responsibilities and Q&A
BCG X tends to care about how you think as much as code quality, so I’d prep for a mix rather than pure Leetcode. Are you targeting junior or mid level? I’ve seen a common pattern for similar software engineering interviews be a live coding round on data structures and algorithms plus a conversational behavioral chat, sometimes with a light system design discussion. I usually practice stories with a simple situation action result format and keep answers around 90 seconds, then run a timed mock with Beyz coding assistant after pulling a few prompts from the IQB interview question bank. Talking through your approach as you code helps a ton fwiw.
