I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group
Interview
Contacted by BCG recruiter. Applied online and had two screening calls with HR, interview and case with the hiring manager, and then two general fit interviews with senior practice leaders.
Overall, the process was simple and straightforward, but I was very taken aback by the clear lack of professionalism I saw from the knowledge team. I am currently in a similar role covering the same industry at another MBB firm (with a record of very strong performance). The difference in overall experience, preparation allowed and given by recruitment, and simple courtesy to the applicant was night and day compared to what I experienced with my current firm during interviews.
If I was given an offer, I would not have accepted. Not only was the experience unprofessional, but the client facing knowledge role seems to simply be a grossly underpaid consultant. Applicants beware.
Several rounds and made it to the end, took a long time between rounds. Very engaging conversations with everyone, people were obviously very smart. Didn't end up getting offer (team retracted role)
