I went through a very disappointing interview process with BCG Portugal. Over the span of two months, I was scheduled for seven interviews, each lasting around 45 minutes. In every interview, I was asked to repeat the same information about my nearly 10 years of HR experience, which made it clear that the interviewers were not communicating internally.
Despite completing all the interviews professionally and being told I would receive prompt feedback, I was met with silence for over two weeks. When I tried to follow up, I was simply told to “wait.” Even after that, no one contacted me directly. Eventually, I had to reach out multiple times, only to be informed — through a third-party agency — that I was rejected due to “lack of seniority,” something that could have been easily assessed much earlier.
The most disappointing part is that no one from BCG ever took the time to speak to me directly after such a long and demanding process. Messages were left on “seen” and ignored.
Overall, the process felt unprofessional and disrespectful of candidates’ time and effort. I would caution others to be prepared for poor communication and a lack of transparency if applying here.
