Box Software Engineer interview questions

A recruiter reached out to me saying, here a job description let me know if you are interested. Without even mentioning why they were specifically reaching out to me. In any case, I decided to explore this opportunity. So they schedule a chat with the recruiter. The recruiter did not sound too excited or engaged and at one point they were asking basically about my interview pipeline (screeenings, onsites, offers, etc..) . I did not feel confortable sharing too much data points and I gave them a vague answer. The recruiter did not really like my answer and they kept pushing for details. At one point it got very uncomfortable and given the way the recruiter closed the call I already knew they were not moving forward. In fact, after a couple of days I got an email saying that I was not the best match for the role. I had dozen of interviews in the same period of time but nothing like this ever happend to me.

Typical recruiter connection, technical phone screen, onsite interview. Box is very friendly and has nice people. Most they do is with python, and one better know python in my perspective if decides to interview. You can certainly interview in any language; however, I found the interviewer's question is coming from pythonic thinking. In other words, a question is asked that can be done easily in python, but will need more effort and be more complex to do in C++ for instance.
