Interview
I submitted my application online (this is a requirement) then followed up with my resume in person. The assistant manager who took my resume recognized me from the times I’d shopped there. I was told that they were not hiring but that they’d keep my resume for when they were, even if it was just for seasonal. About two weeks later I got a phone call offering an interview for a permanent position that had just opened up. I had two days before the interview. It was a panel group interview, originally scheduled with four people but only two showed up (myself and another candidate). The manager and assistant manager interviewed me us, both asking different questions and taking notes. The interview was fairly easy. The next day I called to thank the manager for the interview, and was offered the position within the same phone call.
