Over the past few months, I have had several in-person interviews with various different departments. After an initial phone screening for each, I met with the hiring staff for each position. It has been four times now that I have been "ghosted" after the first and even second in-person interview. As someone who is looking to relocate to the Boston area, I found it incredibly rude after commuting for many hours to an interview. Now, I am at the point where I am incredibly shocked by the unprofessionalism of the hiring process. By "ghosting" me and not offering any feedback, I have often waited, hoping to hear back while ruining my chances with other employers (after being told they'd get back to me in a week about an immediate hire position for example). The process, in all, has very negatively affected my job search and I hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
