I was set up for a virtual interview panel that was 5 consecutive hours.
No time for breaks was scheduled - and when I mentioned to one panel member I could really use a 3 minute break, there was palpable annoyance that "their time" was being wasted, so I felt like I couldn't actually step away. Being able to use the restroom should not be a negative factor for a candidate.
Another issue that lingered with me, was that 100% of my interview (I believe 8 total participants) were male. Again, this was something I mentioned towards the end of my time, and was met with what felt like quiet hostility.
I have >10 years experience for the role they were looking for. I had an internal referral.
I was put through multiple rounds of interviews for the same position (again, all participants were male, and even when I asked the recruiter to schedule me for a break during the block appointments, they did not).
Ended up being very clear this is not the employer for me.
