Technical interview including written test and programming test at a computer.
The interview questions tended to be based on the technology they are using rather than testing general programming ability.
Towards the end of the interview I was asked what my current salary was. I replied that I didn't wish to disclose this. To which they replied, "we'll find out anyway". I was quite shocked by this reply and was confused about how they could possibly find out what my current salary was. The technical manager that asked this question elaborated, "we'll be able to see this on your p45 form". I think they expected me to tell them my salary at this point but I again stated that I didn't wish to disclose this. The interview ended quite abruptly after this and I didn't hear anything from them again.
This left me with quite a bad impression of the management, which is a shame as the other people I spoke to there seemed like good guys.
