I applied online. I interviewed at Burlington Stores (Philadelphia, PA) in Sep 2013
Interview
phone interview was pleasant. They asked you to describe a time where you had to resolve a disgruntled customer's problem locating a particular item and still manage to help the customer purchase something similar..Questions were being asked quickly in the group interview, (about ten people) and if you responded to most, you were considered right at the end of the interview for the job. Being shy and quiet, you were thanked for coming, but not hired.

Question 1
Group interview if you passed the phone interview. In the group interview, you better be aggressive, and comfortable being quick to respond to the open interview questions because you are judged and being considered for the positions, only if you seem outgoing, and expressive.
it was very easy i was asked 3 questions. where have you worked before. why should we hire you. what's your availability. and then there was an orientation for 5 hours

Question 1
one question they asked was what was my availibitlity
The interview went great the manager gave me the job right then and said to come back in a week. Later I got a call to finish the application on the website and then we could move forward. The next day I got a text she didn’t realize there were no open positions available and I could try again later for a holiday season. Today I got a message saying they decided to go with a candidate with qualifications that were a better fit. I let go of other jobs because I was confirmed to have been hired. I have been in customer service for 10+ years but today I got a message they hired someone with better fitting qualifications. I shouldn’t have let go of other jobs that was my fault. They shouldn’t have confirmed I was hired after the interview then said I wasn’t because there was no openings to then messaged they hired someone else. I love the items in the store and the interview was with a new manager she was awesome but was really disappointed with the way this was handled and that there’s nothing I can do about that. I’m a single mom and have been looking for a job for awhile and finally got 3 callbacks but the first job to say I was hired was Burlington so I took that and let the others know I was hired. The interview was fine but I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
I was asked Really simple question like about my experience as well as curtain situations I have encountered in my other jobs as well as how i reacted and overall a good interview
