The process took 3 weeks. It seemed smooth and pleasant until the offer letter and negotiations. They were willing to negotiate a base salary, which was appreciated. However, their offer letter/contract (that I was expected to sign) excluded some important details about the job. I even contacted a friend who has been working in HR for 10 years and my suspicions were confirmed. When I politely asked for clarification in the letter, the tone of their response was nasty and condescending. I was told that I didn't understand the conversations that were had, which was not the case. Everyone knows that the fine print is worth more than verbal details. Furthermore, their attempt to provide the information in writing was weak, as they included it as an attachment, not on their letter head, and not on the document that I was expected to sign.Their controlling tone was the deciding factor for me. I suggest that the higher management realize that an offer is meant to be negotiated and their negativity will surely chase great candidates away.
