The initial contact with the company was positive; the recruiter was very warm and professional. The in person interview was so-so. I met with four people, two of whom didn't know how to interview. I met with a VP who was a better interviewer but who floored me by not answering my questions about what specifically the job would entail. . . by telling me that the specific projects assigned to the person hired wouldn't be determined until the position was filled. How can a candidate evaluate a job if s/he isn't given sufficient information about the work to be done?
The icing on the cake was a complete failure to communicate with me after the interview. I sent everyone I met with an individual thank you. And I discovered that they weren't interested in moving me (or any of the other people they interviewed) along in the hiring process when I saw the job re-posted again a few weeks later. This is not a place that I would ever work, nor would I recommend it to any of my colleagues.
