Phone call with some HR person then the Hiring manager. What is bad is the utter lack of communication. Their HR person reached out to ME about applying for a job they had open. I did and then this HR person called back a few days later. We spoke for a bit and then the hiring manager called a week or so after that. We spoke for about 40 minutes and all seemed positive and the hiring manager said I'd be hearing from them. But I heard Nothing. I sent a few emails to the HR person over the next week or so but no replies. Not even a " Thanks but we are moving ahead with someone else"
If I am not what you were looking for then fine. That's cool. I am a big boy and can handle the truth. But just don't ignore emails and calls. It's plain old rude.
I see the position remained open for many more weeks and even a few months after I was interviewed. I did find a better role at a different firm a month or two later so I guess it all worked out in the end.
