CDW interview questions

It started with a phone screen from a recruiter who was friendly and clear about the role and expectations. The second round was a behavioral Zoom interview with a finance team member — very conversational and focused on STAR-format questions. The final round included a panel with two senior finance team members and a case-based Excel exercise involving forecasting and budget variance analysis. Questions Asked: "Tell me about a time you had to work under a tight deadline." "How would you explain financial data to someone without a finance background?" "Walk me through a budgeting process you've worked on." Excel task: Basic forecasting scenario + pivot table Tips: Be ready with clear, concise STAR stories Brush up on Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, basic financial functions) Show enthusiasm for both finance and CDW’s team-oriented culture Overall Impression: Professional and supportive. The team emphasized collaboration and growth. The process was not overly technical but did test practical understanding of financial concepts.

The process was very straightforward. You contact a hiring recruiter specify for interns, then you go and interview with them (Unless you applied through an online application). They then call you again for another one with them, but still not too professional. Then you move on to your last interview for the sales manager that you’ll be working under. If that person likes you, then you’re in, if not then you’re not. However, in my case, I waited around 1-2 months and another manger (which their intern dropped) saw my interview recording with the previous manager. And if they like you and if not, you know what I’m trying to say. Pretty good at how the process goes and can’t complain. (Was scary at first, but always talk with the hiring recruiter because that’ll make things easier and probably does make your odds of getting hired higher).
