I applied at Crossmark online; I really needed a job. When I got a phone call from their headquarters in Texas, I figured the job would be minimum wage, however, I was offered a position at $10.50. The interview process was simple, she hired me right over the phone. They asked questions about your previous jobs and if you thought you could persuade someone into buying products. 3 days later I got an envelope containing drug test information, and I had to fax my I-9 to Texas. However, they mixed up my I-9 information and I had to fax it to them THREE times. HR is a nightmare to contact, they almost never answer their phones. Three weeks later, I was officially an employee, you have to take training online (about an hour). The team lead taught me everything I needed to know. The place I was assigned to was a small Walmart, so there were only 2 other people working there. Eventually, my team lead was transferred closer to home, and the people on my team were totally incompetent. The one lady who is still employed there doesn't know how to do anything correctly... She didn't even know the event tables fold out until I showed her. Yet they promoted her over me when they changed supervisors (I was promised a promotion but when the old supervisor was fired nothing happened). Good luck with this place... Not much room for improvement except for being a team lead (50 cent raise).
