Interview
The hiring process with CVS does require patience on the part of the employment candidate for the Pharmacy department. The online application is time consuming but very important to REALLY take you time with it and answer the questions honestly and with thought. I would say to treat it as if it is your first interview.
An in-person interview for a technician position is generally conducted by the Pharmacist in charge at the store you are applying for so it is a great chance to see if your personality and his or her personality will blend to form a positive working relationship. I have generally found the Pharmacist's at CVS to be very committed to excellence and strive to be the best store in their district so customer service and attention to detail are a big focus. Be prepared to discuss your strengths as pertained to customer service and how you may handle difficult situations.
As for the culture within the company, I can honestly say that I found it to be very positive and enjoyable. Management seems to really care about training and developing their staff, promoting engagement and striving for excellence. However, they also care about the quality of life for the employees and promote an atmosphere that is conducive to a positive, healthy working environment. My overall perception of the company culture is that they strive to create a family-like atmosphere.

For my interview it was a phone interview only. The manager asked very simple questions. Their main concern was if I could do basic math and even asked me a couple questions on the spot.
