Canonical Engineering Manager interview questions

That was extremely terrible. Never again. No clear guidance regarding the number of application steps (interviews, assignments), what to expect on each step, how long it will take and when I can expect feedback. 2+ months dedicated to the process. 1 written interview + 7 video interviews + 2 test assessments. No meaningful feedback (just standard phrases like 'we decided other candidates are a better match') Lower than market salary range. Moreover, the information about the possibility of employing me only as a freelancer in the selected location was provided at the very end. Why didn't you let me know in advance, so both of us don't waste time? I don't even mention the fact regarding the laptop policy. Why do you think it's a good idea to force employees to work from their laptops?! How do you guarantee they don't leave the company with the sensitive info at hand?!
