Canonical Software Engineer - Online Services interview questions

A week after applying online, I received the following email. I immediately withdrew based on recent reviews (100% of reviews here on Glassdoor in the last 12 months are Negative or Neutral experience with no offer given). Specifically, there are a lot of people who say they are ghosted late in the process. Unless you are desperate for a job I think it's really hard to get an offer if the first step is the following. The application process has several stages: * Initial screening (done) * Personal essay (this stage) * Meet and Greet with and engineer interview * Standardised aptitude and personality tests * General interviews * Recruitment screen * Technical assessment * Role-specific interviews * Hiring manager interview * Executive interview The current stage is your personal essay.
