      Techlead Interview

      Sep 3, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Richmond, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Aug 2012

      Interview

Applied via capitalone website. the initial online Quant test was little challenging . Called for phone tech interview and it was not challenging at all. Called for personal interview and the recruiter was busy so communication was minimal dint inform about the onsite case interview until friday interview was scheduled for monday. On interview day Had Two behavioral the first one was tell me about a time when you had to pursue somebody Tell me about a time when you had a roadblock in the project and how you worked around it. Need to clearly explain the details. The next was case interview . Case interviewer was very friendly and helpfuland the case wasn't very challenging either. It was a call center question you will be given a table with total calls per weekday ,avg call times for REP1 and Avg call time for REP2 ( when REP1 could not address the issue) , total call avg. across all weekdays (monday,25000,30%,32%,31%) question was to find total avg call time for the organization, Another was finding avg call time for first 3 days and next 4 days and comparing results of avg cal time per week vs ( avg of 3day + 4days avg) Next is finding number of calls that got addressed by rep2, you will be given total calls per each day. next round was behavioral again and but Questions were too lame 1) tell me a time when you work with a team ? and tell me a time when you worked on an issue? Next was Team interview was job fit - which was scheduled after 90 mins and i had to wait in that room for 90 mins this is where i made a mistake on 2nd tech scenario and i think it costed me my interview over all i thought they were dragging it out a lot it could have easily been wrappe din an hr or two max , i went htere at 1PM and was doing interviews past 5:30 too tedious.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

the 2nd behavior interview was surprising as i dint think interviewer was serious enough. looking at my resume as someone of 10 yrs exp in IT and asking them if they ever worked in a team or resolved an issue.?
