      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cardinal Health in Feb 2023

      Interview

The position was, originally, advertised as Senior Financial Analyst (Global Supply Chain). After applying, the title of the position was changed to Business Analyst. So, things were unclear from the start. I was contacted by HR and a call was set up with the manager and two other analysts. The description of the job read as entry level and very generic(I had two pervious senior business analyst roles on resume). However, the questions asked in the interview did not line up with the entry job description. During the interview, one of the analysts asking questions had a shift in tone. He became arrogant and pretentious. His behavior was emotionally charged and acted as though he had something to prove to his own superiors – this made the entire interview very uncomfortable. This particular interviewer was also having sarcastic conversations with his colleague about what difficult models to present to me in a very unprofessional manner. “Hey let’s give him this one. Haha! It’s hard.” The manager participating in this interview did not speak up and, instead stayed muted the majority of the time. The behavioral questions were tailored to be unanswerable and simple solutions were dismissed arrogantly. After a bit of brief research, I also discovered that this company is lacking in diversity among their personnel in the finance area. When I inquired about work/life balance, the response indicated that, that balance was not a priority by any means. In fact, the manager explained that they are often on overnight calls and weekend calls with their partners in China. So unless you are looking for midnight chats with China, I would steer clear of this area.
