I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (Owings Mills, MD) in Nov 2018
Interview
Initial phone screen, then invited to the office for an in-person interview. When I arrived for the in person interview, it turned out to be a 2-on-1 interview, as the recruiter informed me that she was going to be sitting in on the interview so she could get a better idea of what the position entailed since it was a new one for her to be recruiting for.
At the end of the interview, I was promised that I would hear some kind of an update before the weekend because as the recruiter said, she "didn't like people going into the weekend not knowing what was going on". Needless to say, I did not hear a peep from them, ever. They ignored all followup emails asking for a status of the position.
I should have realized from the moment that I walked in, since the recruiter was sitting in to find out more about the job herself, that I was basically a beta test for the interview process, and likely not an actual candidate for the position.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Jul 2023
Interview
Normal process with HR phone screening then 3 on 1 interview with the team. One of the interviewers asked three different questions about diversity and inclusion, this was very bizarre considering this was a finance position. I do not think I matched the demographic profile of who they were trying to hire. Very unfortunate.
