Carrier Materials Engineer interview questions

I applied through the company website and soon received a phone interview offer for two weeks later. They called at the scheduled time just to inform me that the position had already been filled, then tried to direct me to apply for other positions that were unrelated to my career. All in all, it seemed very unprofessional and like the recruiter I was working with wasn't interested in finding candidates that actually fit the job.
