This interview process was unprofessional nearly from start to finish. I first heard from a recruiter who said she was helping another recruiter with my application and emailed as if I was mid-way through an interview process or had already had a screening call... which I had not. She scheduled an interview for me that was supposed to be a video call with three people on the team. In the interview invite, she listed my name incorrectly. When I had that interview, the video call wasn't working on their end (they couldn't see me). I could see them, but it quickly became clear they didn't realize that I could, as they muted themselves and actively spoke amongst each other while I was speaking, interacted with other people who popped into the room, and reacted to some of my answers very visually in a way that you definitely wouldn't if the person was in front of you. Despite warming up a bit towards the end of the call, they were incredibly rude across the board. A couple weeks later, I ended up getting a third round interview. That interview had my name right in the invite, but had the incorrect title of the person that I was interviewing with... once again the recruiter missed the attention to detail. That interview was actually lovely - the person I interviewed with was incredibly kind and it was a great conversation! He did mention, however, that I definitely should have spoken to a recruiter first about salary expectations etc so my suspicions that a step was missed were correct. It has now been nearly two months since that interview and I never heard back, which, ESPECIALLY after interacting with 5 people at a company, is unacceptable. The interviews were not difficult, but the entire process was unorganized and unprofessional, other than the final interview that I had.
