I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (Redwood City, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
Screening with recruiter and then HR Manager. Both calls went great, so not sure what happened! Really thought highly of this org but got ghosted by the recruiter. Sent several emails and even sent a text, which she read (has read receipts) and has never responded. Extremely rude, insensitive and disregard for people's feelings. You should always let the candidate know their status especially if they reached out several times. I am not sure if the org teaches recruiters to do this but this one specific recruiter has a pattern of doing this. We have all had a difficult few years and adding unnecessary unkindness and totally disrespect for peoples well-being is unacceptable. Also, the recruiters are the face of this organization and they are representing the org in an an extremely unprofessional manner.

Other Product Manager Interview Reviews for Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in Jan 2022
Interview
Very straightforward and clear process.
Phone calls with recruiter and hiring manager.
Video calls with positions that interact heavily with the Project Manager
Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and willing to discuss their personal experience at CZI. I had a scheduling snafu and the Hiring Experience Associate was immediately available to get things sorted for me. Overall a great experience, I marked no for an offer because I am not yet at that point in the process.

Question 1
I signed an NDA, so I cannot get into details. They asked thoughtful behavioral questions and questions about my experience .
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (Redwood City, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
PROCESS:
1st round: initial 30 min call with a recruiter
2nd round: video call with the hiring manager, mostly about your experience and behavioral questions
3rd round: Full day interview consisting of 6 parts starting with a presentation (prompt will be provided ahead of time), product thinking, product execution, 2 collaboration interviews (mainly behavioral), and a more casual connect with the hiring manager which is a mix of behavioral and learning more about the role.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: the best interviewing experience I've had! My recruiter, Nicole, was extremely transparent, friendly, and responsive from day one. She made an effort to foster a trusting relationship and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I felt like I could candidly ask questions and get a real, unfiltered response, rather than a scripted recruitment message. The people I met during the interviewing process were extremely welcoming and warm. They made a conscious effort to ask pointed, well-thought out questions all while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and positive.
RECOMMENDATION: the CZI careers page has a one-pager that walks through the process in detail. This is the same document shared with me prior to the final round. The only missing piece is the presentation details, which will be shared separately by your recruiter. Highly recommend giving yourself time to prep for the presentation portion and product thinking and execution interviews as those will likely require more effort.

Signed an NDA and cannot share. No brain teasers or anything out of the ordinary PM interview questions.
