I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Charles River Associates (London, England)
Interview
Applied with CV and cover letter, after which I was invited to an interview within a week. A very quick and seamless process.
A 30 minute presentation at start of the day was very interesting and made me really excited at the prospect of working for the company. There were 9 candidates, and we were split into 2 groups of 4 and 5.
My group of 4 interviewees underwent 4 interview stations together. Activities included brainteasers, market sizing questions, individual & group case studies as well as a skills/competency based session at the end. All 4 sessions were led by a different person, with an assessor who stayed with us throughout. The format was conversational and relaxed and the assessor was particularly easy going. The office was fantastic and at the end we were given 30 mins of snacks and informal chat with current junior consultants who were very pleasant and seemed to love their jobs at CRA. I enjoyed the day despite the nerves that come with interviewing.
I interviewed at Charles River Associates (Munich, Bavaria)
Interview
I applied online, 3 weeks to call to interview. the interview consisted of introduction and motivation, professional questions (about a merger of my choice and my thesis - mostly methodology) and a cartel damage estimation case study
Two Rounds; the first was an informational interview with two junior staff (analyst and associate). Very friendly, typical interview questions with an emphasis on econometrics and data science backgrounds. The second round was nearly four hours, with one formal case interview and two interviews with Principals.
