I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Charles River Associates
Interview
I first applied online and uploaded my resume, cover letter and transcript. Then I had a one-hour in-person interview at my college's career center. It was 40 minutes of asking me about previous internships I had and what I did at them, and then the last 20 minutes was a small case analysis. Then they requested, by email, a writing sample in which I performed data analysis. Then I went in for an all-day office interview where I met with 3 principals, did another case analysis and discussed it with a Senior Associate, then had lunch with 2 junior associates. Then I was offered the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to describe a few different projects I had during past internships.
Two technical interviews, with example real world scenarios. Real world scenarios could be BEC, ransomware, or dead-box forensics. Then, two "personality/vibe" interviews, where they asked about how you handle failure, difficult or new scenarios, and what your work approach is.
There are two rounds of interview for incoming analysts, One with two juniors, fairly quick and not technical. There was also a second interview with 4 rounds, each of which was with a more senior level person
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why I am interested in the practice area I applied for
Smooth. 2 rounds of interview. A lot of questions surrounding research experiences and data processing. Not too many technicals. Many fit questions as well. Generally not difficult and got back to me pretty fast.
