I applied in-person. I interviewed at Chevron in Apr 2015
Interview
The process has been quite long for this position. Took the test and passed, received letter for interview a few months back, but it was postponed indefinitely. Just a few days ago, received a phone call confirming an interview for the operator trainee position. Interview was a panel interview with three interviewers. Asked a series of STAR based questions. In the beginning they asked about experience but touched very little on it. Mainly the behavioral based questions took up the duration of the 60 minute interview.

Question 1
Tell me about a difficult time when you had to make an important decision that could affect others.
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Chevron (Pascagoula, MS) in Sep 2016
Interview
Three person interview panel that asked STAR based questions, as well as background questions.
I feel it went well but have not received any news since interview. The panel consisted of two head operators and a HR representative. I have been to many interviews over the last year and this one was the most relaxing.

Question 1
Have you ever been put into an unsafe work environment? How did you handle it?
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Chevron in Jan 2015
Interview
Two separate panel interviews with a Chevron person and a hiring recruit person. They asked a series of questions pertaining to your experience and knowledge and personality. The people were friendly but it honestly was a joke. This is no longer the interview process as this was back in 2008
