Was told by my department to apply online to be considered for an interview on campus. Applied online to Chevron's website, then was emailed that I was selected for an interview at my university. The day before the interviews, there was a Q & A meeting with the two Chevron representatives. The following day I had an interview with two individuals. The setting was formal but inviting, they told me about their role in the company and then asked me about how I worked in groups, things like that.

Straightforward interview, first discuss previous experience then move into 4 situational based questions. These are to be answered in STAR format. Afterwards you are able to ask them questions. I had 3 interviewers all in my specialty.

A phone interview was arranged with two earth scientists, where they went over my resume for the first 15 minutes, and then asked behavioral questions that HR fed them for another half hour.

Chosen during university campus recruiting for an interview.
Interview was on my campus and was quite casual and felt more like a conversation than an interview. One of the interviewers typed notes about my answers while I talked.
