The interview process typically involved a recruiter, recorded questions, and an interview with the hiring manager. Overall, the process was generally positive. However, there was a notable issue towards the end. Although I had informed the recruiter that I had only a few samples and not a complete portfolio, which they assured was acceptable, the hiring manager seemed surprised and unprepared for this when we met. This discrepancy created an awkward situation that could have been avoided with better communication and alignment between the recruiter and the hiring manager.
