I applied online. I interviewed at Chewy in May 2024
Interview
Terrible experience that raised multiple red flags in just the first interview. First, the position was third shift (which I was fine with) but they buried that information deep within the job description instead of the title or first few sentences. Second, their process involved 3 interviews after the initial phone interview for a low level administrative position. Third, they revealed that 30-40% of the job would actually be spent on duties that were not mentioned in the job description at all.
This was the first time I've been glad to be rejected by a company instead of figuring out how to politely decline next steps.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Tell me about a time you noticed something incorrect outside of your role and what you did to fix it" ~ this was kind of a red flag question that implies the company is a mess and they'll expect you to take responsibility for things outside of your position.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chewy in Oct 2016
Interview
I had applied and 3 months later they call me in for an interview. The first person I met with did not seem interested and didn't ask many questions just explained to me the position. The secound person I met that day was supposed to be in the original interview but could make it, so it became 2 interviews. Her and I talked more about my background. When I left they informed me I should hear something by the end of next week. I did not hear anything when I was expecting to. I then contacted her the Wednesday of the next week after and this time she informed me I should hear something the next week about a second interview . Again a week and a half went by and still no word. I contacted her again. I received a response of they were were looking at internal candidates and would contact me if it came available again. The whole experience took a month.

Interview
I wish I could elaborate on this further but only got so far. See below.
1. Applied online for position 7/13/20.
2. Rec'd email from Talent Acquisition team 7/23 expressing interest in scheduling phone interview. Asked for my week's availability.
3. I responded immediately by clicking the imbedded scheduler and submitted.
4. Day of interview (7/28/20) - no call from Chewy as scheduled.
5. I went back on scheduler and tried to resubmit for different day/time. Nothing.
6. I found contact's email address and messaged her re: status, etc. Nothing.
7. 3 days later - she back-peddled and stated she was already booked and interviews have already been completed for first round. What??? I didn't reply back.
8. Will NEVER apply with this company again. Especially since I've read similar experiences in the hiring process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Only question asked was in the initial email sent to me: What is your availability for a phone screen?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chewy (Ocala, FL) in Jun 2019
Interview
I had 4 interview in total. I had my first with the recruiter with Chewy over the phone. My next was with the HR Business Partner over the phone. My third was with the HR Manager over a video interview. My final and fourth interview was with several people that were at that facility but this time it was in person. I was flown there to meet several of people. The last one they gave me a tour of the facility and I got to sit down with lots of people and really get to know what this job would entail and the expectations from the company and the managers. I really felt they asked me a lot of questions, and I also asked a lot of questions especially since I think we both wanted to equally know about each other because I would have to move to the Florida area and that is a huge risk and you want to make sure you like the company and the position. But overall my experience was great.
