I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2015
Interview
You get interviewed in mass by an assistant principal. You do have to submit a lot of documents and also a drug test. They will pay for your finger printing. They just started doing that for applicants. The process takes longer than it should. I know it took at least two weeks before I could start taking jobs. If you qualify, you will get hired. But hopefully this is not the only position you have as during the summer and winter you will be out of work.

Question 1
They are going to ask you about why you want to be a sub and your plans for the future. You can mess this up pretty bad and still pass. They need subs badly.

Interview
Easy process, friendly interviewer. You get a chance to see the city on a different light. Lots of educators doing their best with the resources they have. I've been all over the city, schools are nice and you get to work with some amazing kids

Interview
Bad, cold, and distant interviewer, she was rude, honestly. Told us it was a professional interview, but the interviewer wasn't even showing herself on Zoom camera, literally just her forehead.

Interview
The interview was scheduled a few weeks in advance, but I heard back the next day. Only a quick 15 minute video call, and the interviewer was on time, professional, and friendly.
