I applied online. I interviewed at Childtime Learning Center (Akron, OH) in Mar 2017
Interview
The director completely glossed over the fact that I was cocky, brash and cussed. It was a doomed relationship from the get-go. I had even told my spouse that I had a bad feeling about the place. I was hired based solely because my personality was the complete opposite of the person who had previously held that position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I honestly don't remember. I just remember the director telling me that I would be a great fit for the position and asking me when I could start after about 10 minutes of small talk. It felt more like between my personality being the opposite of what was there before and the desperate need for a warm body I was essentially handed the keys to the car and told to drive. But I was told to drive with no training. Seriously. My training was watching a bunch of videos on a laptop. And of those videos, I learned more about their self-made cleaning solution and how they wanted you to spray things down than I did about policies and procedures.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Childtime Learning Center (Stone Mountain, GA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The director and office manager welcomed me to the office and asked me about my background, experience in childcare, and my idea of a quality education. I felt welcomed, a warm presence from them both, and I look forward to joining the team.

Interview
We sat down and the director asked me questions about my skills and experience in the career. They asked which age group I would prefer to work with and if I would rather stick to one place or move around.

Interview
Gave me the job on the spot, later realized it was because they were under staffed. Most of the teachers are under paid and under qualified. Literally the worst job I've ever had
