Three interviews. One informal with the manager of the position. Then 3 back-to-back 30 minute sessions with various functions. Then another separate interview with the directors of the division.
This division’s team was great, had a lot of good conversations, and actually thought it would be a good fit. However, I was overqualified for the position and they could only offer the absolute bare minimum of the salary range due to equity with the rest of the team. They declined to come up to the midpoint of the salary when I countered.
As this is the second division I’ve received an offer from- it’s become apparent to me that Children’s Hospital isn’t willing to pay to acquire talent. You work there for the name instead. Although this may be attractive to some, I wouldn’t waste your time if you are hoping for a good wage.
