A rather lengthy process compared to any interview I've had in similar settings (ie, large pediatric medical centers); it was approximately 4 months from start (receiving an email stating my application had been sent to the department-specific hiring manager) to finish (declining the position). As a non-local applicant I participated in a group (2:1) interview and then a follow-up phone interview, in lieu of multiple in person interviews that CCHMC typically has. The interviews themselves were particularly structured (they try to set a 30 time limit for in person interviews, although my 60 minute clearly exceeded it), formal, and consisted of a lot of behavioral-based questions ("tell us about a time when...")...but the interviews were not overly difficult or surprising. I did note that the interviewers had printed copies of my resume and had marked it up, which they then used as a guide for asking questions throughout the interview. For example, "we see you had recent experience at X; describe the typical patient population and how they relate to the patients you'd see here".
