Interview
CircleCI is a classic example of the employer you DO NOT want to spend your time interviewing with.
Where do I begin? It starts with a recruiter chat to set expectations, right from the beginning, they prepare you for a long process.
The first interview was with the hiring manager, I very clearly highlighted what I know and don't know. Good discussion overall. They moved forward with me.
They then scheduled me for a technical coding interview with a third party company. The question they asked had absolutely nothing to do with the role or requirements, that was the first red flag.
Following this interview, fast forward a month later, another interview with an SRE lead who asked questions on the same tech I highlighted I do not have experience with. 2nd red flag.
7 interviews later they then rejected me saying I don't have experience on the same technology I mentioned to them I do not have hands on experience in the first interview a month and a half earlier.
Thanks for wasting my time. If you are so disconnected in the hiring process I can't even begin to imagine how big of a disaster CircleCI is outside of it.
