I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco (South San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied online in December 2016. The recruiter contacted me after a week and set up a 45 minutes screening. She said it includes programming and system design. In the screening I only got a question on cloning a graph which is in my opinion is more appropriate for software engineering role than a data science role. Apparently, since Cisco is a network company, proficiency in graphs is very important to any role. However, this was not mentioned in the job description which made me mistakenly apply for the position.

Interview
It's a 3-round interview where the first one is a recruiter, followed by technical and HR. The hiring process is slow but fair and interactive. The initial round is so basic, like just trying to know the profile and flexibility, waiting on the next ones.
