I applied in the job page at Cisco.com for the CSAP program, then after two weeks, I received an email to ask me my availabiliy for an interview, via webex. That was the first step, in this interview the person asked me about what I have been doing/working, he asked me why I wanted this program, what did I know about Cisco, questions about Sales, about if I really enjoy dealing with customers, etc. Pretty easy in fact. After the first interview I sent a mail to the recruiter to ask, what were the next steps? RH told me that I have to wait.
After a month I received unexpectedly a mail that I had passed to the second round, and that was a video, regarding the question What is your vision on how Cisco technology can shape the future workplace?
For the next stage I didn't have to wait a lot of time, just one week and they invited me to the Assessment Center. This part is THE part, the final round. There were three parts, an super easy exam, the interview with the managers, then a role play selling a solution to a case, then a presentation.
The exam was easy, because there was a video explaning all the concepts, easy concepts. Then, the interview with the managers was interesting, questions related your behavior, like when was an awkward moment? Why do we have to hire you? What is your ideal job? Sell me something, why did you change your job? At least 10 questions like that.
Then the role play, try to organize the questions and then the solutions. Be awared about the time, think that if you ask question, the other person is going to spend time in answer it. Be prepared to answer questions while you are talking for your solution. Like what is webex?
The presentation was kind of easy. again, watch the time.
Be happy with what you are doing, try to sell and to give a solution. Be kind with everyone. At the assessment, the managers gave you a feedback for each activity, that was pretty good and confused, due to they told me everything was pretty good, even they congratulated me. But for my country, there was just one position. So i guess, I wasn't what they were looking for.
