I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco
Interview
The process was organized, and the team seemed professional at first, but the actual interviews were disappointing. Despite clear documentation stating the focus would be on TypeScript/React, code composition, patterns, and testing, none of these areas were properly assessed. Instead, I was given a generic algorithmic exercise, similar to those on Leetcode, which felt irrelevant to the role.
This mismatch left me feeling frustrated and misled, as I had prepared for the skills the company claimed to value. The lack of transparency undermined what could have been a strong candidate experience.

Question 1
How would you merge two sorted arrays without using the built-in sort method?
3 interviews, 2 coding rounds and 1 manager round
And final 1 hr for salary negotiation. Last round was for all and some of them got selected. And I did not get an offer.
Well, where do I start? It was so impersonal. I applied online and then received and email to do a test via HackerRank. 135 minutes no less.
I took the test, pretty certain I got 6/8 questions correct but I did not get any results.
On the React portion. You have to finish off the application. It was in TypeScript, don’t get me wrong. It was fun, I found it not hard, though the time cut off when I had two functions left to right, to set up a favorites state to add and remove.
I don’t know if it was scored at all but also, it’s not like the recruiter who receives it knows what is going on.
Terrible and lazy way to screen people out.
