I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Citadel Securities
Interview
First step was a HackerRank which wasn't too difficult. Then had an interview where the interviewer asked very in-depth questions about Javascript (e.g. about the interpreter), which was out of left field because I was not told this was a technical interview (and the questions were very advanced for an internship position). They followed up 2 months later to schedule another interview which was again a technical interview but I was not told this. I was asked to build a frontend project in an hour, but it had been 6 months since I had used the specific tech they were working with (and I was not told to prepare this), so I struggled. I was very unhappy as I invested a lot of time into interviewing (total of 4 hours) but the company took months for the interview process and did not give any information on what I could expect in the interview

The interview consists of: online assessment, coding interview and super day (of three 45 minute interview). It was quite smooth, although took quite long get feedback after each round comparing to other trading companies.
It was okk, too many technical questions and in depth or basics. The coding question was verbally told, the interviewer did not paste the question or anything. That is when things got difficult and I panicked
