The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
Interviewed on College campus after getting dinner the night before. Went down to NYC where went through a round robin of 6 consecutive 20 minute interviews. Felt like speed dating, made it hard to get to know anybody.
In the final round they brought in 20 peoples and probably hired 2 of them. Just really hard to prove yourself in this setting, especially since they all came from different groups so I ended up talking to a weird mix of equity people, fixed income people, and lev finance people. Have done other processes since and landed offers, all of which were much more reasonable.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY)
Interview
On-site interview. Half case and half technical. The technical is not so technical but more conversation. the case is basically wall street journal articles and you have a conversation with the interviewer. nothing surprising.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is credit rating and how do you analyze credit rating of a company?
Had a case interview along with three other 20 minute round interviews. The case interview was pretty difficult since it is hard to prepare for that beforehand. The other rounds were relatively easy and mostly behaviorals.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY) in Apr 2019
Interview
I did an on-campus interview followed by an in person interview that consisted of a mix of behavioral and case interview questions. I would say the process was stressful but easy.
