      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ClickUp (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2020

      Interview

It was first a zoom video call asking me a lot of questions. The next was a mini project. During the zoom call I got asked a lot of questions that were not related to the job description and I was confused, if I'm asked to do something else.

      Question 1

Explain what happens when you search www.google.com and hit enter to your grandma and a IT specialist.
      Answer question

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ClickUp in Feb 2021

      Interview

I was submitted thru recruiter Chris Vasquez and interviewed thru zoom with Zach who is the QA manager. Then spent 5-6 hours over 2 days to complete their "mini" project!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The application had relevant questions for the QA Engineer position. Scheduled a phone call and had such a pleasant interview with the QA Manager. I learned a lot about the company. Its core values, culture, the team, and what to expect from the job. After the interview, I got a mini-project. 1st question was to come up with alert solution to manager for any completed task within their app. The more alerts its better. After you setup automation triggers in the app, I had to record a video thru Loom explaining my steps and why choose the method I selected. It took me 3-4 hours to complete this as I am not a "blogger". I am a tester. The other 2 question were related to priority/severity and evaluating how detail oriented you are by finding errors in a given response. I spent 5-6 hrs over two days to complete this project. Then I got a message from recruiter, I will be contacted for the final round; only to find out thru email after 1.5 days that I am not qualified for the role. I not only meet the qualifications but I exceeded them. It's kind of funny because there really isn't much qualifications to match from their job description!!! This company waste every candidates time. They are just getting free ideas from different people to improve their apps through this "mini" project!!! I read these reviews before I had interview with them. But I stayed positive and went through this tedious process which was nothing but wasting time!! I could have spend those hours looking for better opportunity with employer who knows what they want!!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ClickUp (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2020

      Interview

Started out straight with a 30-40 minute interview with the QA manager, which was a nice process that he asked lots of QA behavioral questions (some relate to your behavior, etc.). Then the project was the part that put me down the most which didn’t have anything to do with QA. You would have to be a good blogger to do this project. Then got a rejected email about a week later.
